Google’s Mobile-Friendly Algorithm Change

Audiences I’ve been in front of as a conference speaker over the last several years will attest at just how much I’m a believer in responsive, mobile-friendly web design. I’ve been pounding that drum from the stage, in our smaller workshops for business owners, and in every other medium I can get my hands on for quite some time.

But next week, on April 21st, it all gets real.

While it isn’t the first Google algorithm change that rewards responsive design, it will apparently be the biggest.

If you’d like to understand better what this is all about, I’ve got 2 ways for you to learn more about it.

If you like audio, then check out the latest episode of The Growth Show (Look for Episode 11 if you’re reading this more than a week after I published). In it, my co-hosts and I discuss the mobile-friendly algorithm change in detail, and also talk about various ways to handle it.

You can also check out this blog post on the Grow The Dream blog, where I take an in-depth look at what’s going on with the change and my personal recommendations for how to solve it.

With either piece of content, you’ll learn how to test your site to see how “mobile-friendly” Google thinks it is.

Cheers!
